These buildings featured on the filter stood whilst the civil war was still going on in Mogadishu and around Somalia. Since I graduated my the first thing I wanted to do was to celebrate these buildings, the buildings are not ugly leftovers from the war, I find them tell a story which is still relevant today. Not only did we wanted to make Snapchat filter for Mogadishu but to celebrate all the iconic buildings in Somali, having travelled extensively around the globe the one thing that stood the most was how buildings make huge difference to tell a story. They are one thing that Snapchat users run to, iconic buildings, from Los Angeles to New York, London Hong Kong to Tokyo Bangkok to Hanoi in Vietnam. Any city I went to my first mission was to find what is their iconic building to use as Snapchat filter.
